Melissa Rayman, MEd., CRC, CVE FOUNDER
Melissa is a native Floridian from Miami. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from Boston University and a Masters of Education in Rehabilitation Counselor Education from the University of Texas at Austin. Melissa is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) and a Certified Vocational Evaluator (CVE).
Melissa began her career as a career counselor at an alternative high school in Boston. When she returned to Florida she created and implemented a job readiness program for teens and adults with visual impairments at The Lighthouse of Broward. She went onto vocationally evaluating teens and adults with various disabilities and helping them make realistic and potentially successful training and career paths at Goodwill Industries of South Florida. When Melissa and her family moved to Palm Beach county, Melissa created and implemented a successful program to assist families for planning for the future of their loved ones with disabilities at Alpert Jewish Family & Childrens Service. Melissa was also a guidance counselor and assisted students with accommodations at a K-8 private school Melissa truly enjoyed helping to empower others through her career endeavors. She has a passion for helping people achieve independence. All of her experiences have led her to create Ready Set WORK!
Melissa has also enjoyed volunteering in day programs for adults with more severe limitations. She has been the Young Women’s Chair for South Palm Beach Jewish Federation, is on the PTO for her children’s school and is an active volunteer and a certified trainer with the “No Place For Hate” initiative with the Florida region of the ADL.
Melissa lives in Boca Raton with her husband, two daughters, dog and cat. Melissa is a self proclaimed Broadway theater geek, loves Karaoke and making other people laugh!
